The PACTE building quality and energy transition program commissioned the Jouve Group, which specializes in creation, enhancement and distribution of content in all media, with editorial project management and the creation and production of its digital publications presenting best practice for building energy-efficient housing.
This large-scale project is part of the ‘PACTE’ government program launched by the French housing minister in 2015. It aims to improve quality in construction, help construction professionals to upskill, and ensure energy efficiency. Technical administrative support for this program is provided by the French Construction Quality Agency (AQC). This non-profit organization provides an umbrella for all construction-sector professional organizations who share the common goal of preventing disorder in the building trade and improving construction quality.
The PACTE program steering committee decided to provide building professionals with digital publications suitable for mobile use on tablets and smartphones. These documents will provide access to all necessary practical information on designing buildings to meet sustainable development criteria.
Selected for its operational excellence, Jouve drew on its best talent and technological solutions to offer a comprehensive solution and manage the entire project and all those involved including authors, proofreaders, graphic designers, picture researchers, and typesetters. The process of multi-channel production and author management are optimized using a collaborative project management platform.
The group also put together a team of around fifteen experts including a project manager, editorial designer, illustrators, and digital production managers. Based on this agile organizational approach, it is able to successfully deliver the project to its customer’s production deadlines.
Twenty-seven sets of construction site guidelines, each including around forty illustrations, will be created and made available for free download based on this procedure. Take a look at the first sets of guidelines available on the website and watch the video:
Publications are provided in PDF format for printing as hard copies or as an EPUB version for mobile devices. The digital versions of these sets of guidelines include a host of enhancements enabling users to access additional information with just one click of a mouse.
‘The aim of this project is to speed up digital transformation in the construction sector and help sustainable housing to be built. Our partnership with the Jouve Group allows us to stick to our creation process, produce high-quality digital documents in record time, and reduce our costs’, explains Mr Thomas Poret, PACTE Program Technical Administration, AGENCE QUALITÉ CONSTRUCTION.
