The libraries and scientific information department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (Ministère de l'enseignement supérieur et de la recherche)

The libraries and scientific information department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research entrusted the Jouve Group, in its 4-year contract (June 2005 – June 2009), with the conversion of library catalogues of higher education and research establishments.

This retrospective conversion, performed on-line in the Sudoc, involved more than 1,300,000 notices for thirty different libraries. It aimed to supply both the Sudoc (http://www.sudoc.abes.fr, joint national catalogue for higher education and research which allows web searches of French university libraries) and the computerised catalogue of each of the libraries.
